MoreBus

Last night Peter & Pow taxied home with the post-movie Domino´s pizza, and my ranchero friend Gotcha and I, with our free AC-transit student passes, took the bus back to Berkeley. We fast-forwarded the ride commiserating, in Spanish, about being sheep in the big city. In downtown Berkeley, a woman with a frizzy red perm and, apparently, a buzz, hopped on and told the bus driver she didn't want to pass out on the bus.
She sat facing me and, as the next stop was my friend's, watched us say goodbye. I looked down at my phone to avoid the inevitable, and, inevitably, it came:
"Amiga."
Lookatthephonelookatthephonelookatthephone.
"Señora."
Gotcha laughing..."Oooh....Señora..." laughing his way off the bus.
"Are you talking to me?" I finally faced her, with three stops to go.
"Well, I was trying to. ¿Habla inglés?"
An attempt at a withering look to point out the utter absurdity of the question goes unnoticed so I answer. "Uh, yes."
"Okay, I just wanted to say, that La samba es la música del amore."
Was it a pick-up line? Informative?
Stoprequestbutton and "Okay!"
